Rosetta Traficante

I am the Director and Principal of RT Legal Pty Ltd which was incorporated in 2014. I operated as Rosetta Traficante Barrister and Solicitor from 2005 to 2010 and as RTLegal from 2010 and 2014.

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Bachelor of Laws degree from La Trobe University.

I was admitted into practice in 2003. I first practised in Family Law in Northcote and then in Melbourne. I became a Registered Collaborative Lawyer in 2008.

Over the years I have developed a practice in Family Law and Wills and Probate.

In Family Law matters I seek to help my clients work through the issues of their separation and divorce in a dignified manner. When families separate there are numerous legal and non-legal issues. I am able to direct clients to relevant professionals who can assist them throughout the process.

My focus is to ensure that my clients achieve a just and equitable outcome as soon as possible and in matters involving children, that the care and living arrangements made are in their best interests.

I seek to assist my clients to avoid litigation wherever possible. I practise Collaborative Law and I encourage clients to attend mediation with or without their lawyers.

I have extensive court experience in the Family Court, Federal Circuit Court and Magistrates Court.

Outside of work I am a wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
